SO WHAT'S IN IT?
Organic coconut oil is anti microbial and has a natural SPF of 5. It is very nourishing and moisturizing to the skin. Organic beeswax helps to increase water resistance of the sunscreen. It also helps to protect the skin from environmental damages. Organic almond oil has a natural SPF of 3 and is high in vitamin E. It helps to protect the skin from free radical damage , and also preserves the product. The active ingredient in Natural Coconut Sunscreen is 20% pure pharmaceutical grade non-nano zinc oxide. Most commercial brand sunscreens contain octinoxate or oxybenzone which have nano (smaller particles) that can penetrate the skin layer and enter the bloodstream. Non-nano zinc oxide particles are much larger and sit on top of the skin layer. They cannot enter the bloodstream and they are effective against UVA/UVB rays. An estimated 8 million pounds of sunscreen washes off ocean-goers every single year.  Some ingredients commonly found in traditional sunscreens cause the coral reef to become sick and prematurely die. Always use caution when being in direct sunlight for a prolonged amount of time.
